    Wethersfield police investigate SUV submerged in water

    WETHERSFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) — Wethersfield police are investigating after a call regarding a sunken SUV in water on Thursday evening.

    At around 7:07 p.m., police responded to the Cove off of Main Street for a 2004 gray Honda Pilot submerged in water, police said.

    Police said they spoke to all three occupants of the SUV. The driver told police there was a mechanical issue with the SUV and accidentally rolled into the water following a braking malfunction.

    The Capital Region Dive Team helped take the SUV out of the water.

    No other occupants were inside of the car. No injuries were reported.
