    One hospitalized after house goes up in flames in Willington

    WILLINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) — An occupant was transported to the hospital via helicopter after a house became engulfed in flames this morning in Willington.

    The Willington Fire Department arrived at 80 Luchon Rd. where they discovered a single-family house covered in flames. The fire department says they found one occupant outside of the residence who was taken to a local hospital by LifeStar helicopter.

    Firefighters were able to bring the flames under control at around 8:30 a.m.

    Mutual aid was provided from surrounding towns as well as state police. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
