    Man shot and killed at Stamford hotel

    STAMFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Stamford police are investigating a fatal shooting at the Super 8 Hotel on Monday morning.

    According to police, on Oct. 14 at around 10:40 a.m., officers responded to the report of a shooting located on Grenhardt Road.

    Man charged with attacking New Haven runner, implicated in 2018 cold case

    When police arrived, they found Angel Samaniego, 59, of Stamford with a gunshot wound.

    He was pronounced bead by Emergency Medical Services personnel.

    Police are asking anyone with information related to the investigation to contact the Major Crimes Unit at 203-977-4417.
