Landmark national clinical trial underway for patients with high resting heart rate

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — A landmark national clinical trial is underway for patients with a high resting heart rate. A team at Hartford HealthCare’s St. Vincent’s Medical Center is the first to perform the procedure in New England.

Dr. Joseph Tiano, electrophysiologist and medical director of the electrophysiology lab at Saint Vincent’s Medical Center, explains how common high resting heart rate is and discusses the minimally invasive procedure.
