    1 treated for smoke inhalation after tractor-trailer fire on I-95 in Stratford

    STRATFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Several lanes were closed after a tractor-trailer fire on I-95 northbound in Stratford early Wednesday morning.

    The crash occurred between Exits 30 and 31 at around 6:18 a.m.

    State police said one person was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation.

    They believe the truck was carrying tile mortar at the time of the incident.

    According to state police, all the lanes and the on-ramp were closed as crews responded. The area reopened around 8:45 a.m., but traffic was expected to be slow for some time.
