    Tim Walz to make fundraising trip to Connecticut

    NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, the Democratic nominee for vice president, will travel to Connecticut on Sunday for a campaign fundraiser at a private residence in Greenwich.

    According to the invitation for the fundraiser, Gov. Ned Lamont, First Lady Annie Lamont, Lt. Gov. Susan Bysiewicz, U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal, U.S. Sen. Chris Murphy, U.S. Rep. Jim Himes, Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Dan O’Keefe, former Hartford Mayor Luke Bronin, and prominent businessman and philanthropist Alan Lazowski are all members of the event’s host committee.

    The fundraiser will benefit the Harris Victory Fund.

    Tickets range from $1,000 to $100,000, though as of Wednesday afternoon, the lowest-priced tickets were sold out.

    According to public federal campaign finance filings, the Harris campaign, the Democratic National Committee, and state Democratic parties raised more than $600 million between July and September.
