    Stamford hotel homicide suspects found in New York

    STAMFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Stamford police arrested two suspects in connection to a fatal shooting at the Super 8 Hotel earlier this week.

    According to police, the victim’s belongings were found in the suspect’s possession.

    The suspects, Moises Alejadro Candollo-Urbaneja, 22, and Gregory Marlyn Galindez-Trias 24, were arrested and held on a $2 million bond for possession of stolen property in New York and charged with first-degree larceny for stealing the victim’s car after the homicide, police said.

    Man shot and killed at Stamford hotel

    On Sunday morning, Oct. 14, police were called to Grenhardt Road on the report of a shooting. When police arrived, they found Angel Samaniego, 59, of Stamford with a gunshot wound.

    An autopsy performed by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner ruled Samaniego’s death a homicide due to a gunshot wound, police said.

    The Stamford Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit continues to investigate. Police ask anyone with information to contact Sgt. Luis Serna at 203-977-4417.
