NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Five Stop & Shop locations in Connecticut will close on Oct. 31, the company confirmed with News 8.

The following stores are set to close at the end of the month:

    • 100 Division St., Ansonia
    • 211 High St., Torrington
    • 1937 West Main St., Stamford
    • 855 Bridgeport Ave., Milford
    • 72 Newtown Rd., Danbury

In June, the company announced that 32 stores across New England were set to close on or before Nov. 2.

In May, company leaders announced they would close underperforming stores “to create a healthy case for the future growth of our brand.”

“Our associates are a strong community dedicated to growing and working together, and all of our store associates will continue to have a place in the Stop & Shop family as we look forward to serving customers at other nearby locations,” President of Stop & Shop Gordon Reid said in June statement.

Following these 32 closures, Stop & Shop will have over 350 stores across five states, leaving Connecticut with 81.
