At the Movies: Smile 2 & We Live In Time

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Here’s Ray! We had Kevin Bacon’s daughter in the first, and we’re getting Jack Nicholson’s son in the sequel, Six Degrees.

The real star of ‘Smile 2’ is former Disney star, Naomi Scott. She plays a pop star named Skye Riley whose former drug dealer is the first to flash the demonic smile and if you saw the first, you know how that ends.

It’s all downhill from there. Just as she’s starting a world tour too, and this time the entity is much more savage. So will be the box office!

There’s also Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield meeting cute in ‘We Live in Time.’ There’s nothing cute after that, as Pugh’s character battles cancer while competing on a reality show. She’s a chef and a mother and it’s a tour de force.

Special nod to ‘Goodrich,’ Michael Keaton’s second, much younger wife, leaves him for rehab, and he enlists the aid of his estranged pregnant daughter from his first marriage to help him at home with his young twins.

It’s kind of a sequel to ‘Mr. Mom’, if you think about it.
