    2 hospitalized following house fire in Cheshire

    CHESHIRE, Conn. (WTNH) — Two people were hospitalized after a fire broke out at a home early Friday morning in Cheshire, according to fire officials.

    Crews responded to the 40 block of Rockview Drive at around 2:30 a.m., and the fire chief said they rescued four adults from the home.

    According to the fire chief, one person was taken to the Connecticut Burn Center at Bridgeport Hospital, and another suffered minor injuries. Two firefighters also suffered minor injuries.

    A dog was also rescued from the home.

    The cause of the fire was not immediately known. State police said they are assisting Cheshire’s fire marshal in the investigation.
