    2 teachers, 3 children struck by car outside of school in New Haven

    NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Two teachers and three young children were struck by a car on Friday outside of Wilbur Cross High School in New Haven, according to police.

    Driver faces charges for a hit and run involving a minor

    All of them were transported to the hospital. The New Haven public school district said that one teacher and one of the children suffered broken bones in the incident. The other two children have since been released from the hospital, and the second teacher is still being looked at.

    The teachers work at Wilbur Cross and the children were from the on-site day care center,

    The driver remained on scene, and was cited for not yielding the right-of-way.
