Lawyers for the estate of J’Allen Jones are pushing to make the video of him being restrained at the prison public. He died after the was allegedly restrained there in 2018.

Protesters are accusing the state and the DOC of covering up that incident.

“It’s been oblivious to us because no one was held accountable — there was no big news about it, and the only reason we’re finding out now is because the family has been fighting for years to get the video recording of what happened,” a protester said.

The DOC is not commenting on the video or the protests.
