Truck drives through gas station storefront in North Branford

NORTH BRANFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — A pickup truck drove through the front window of a gas station in North Branford Saturday morning, according to police.

Calls came in to police at 11:22 a.m. about a vehicle that drove through the front entrance of North Branford Patco at 271 Foxon Rd. Police and the Fire Department arrived at the scene to find a 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 pickup truck had driven through the glass and stopped inside the building.

The driver of the truck was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. No other injuries have been reported.

The North Branford Building Official responded and is evaluating damage to the building.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash. Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call North Branford Police at (203) 484-2703.
