Man in critical condition after being shot in Bridgeport

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WTNH) — A man is in critical condition after being shot Sunday morning in Bridgeport.

The victim was shot on the 200 block of Goddard Ave. at 11:20 a.m. When police arrived, they located him suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.

The victim is at an area hospital where he is listed in critical condition.

Bridgeport’s Detective Bureau is leading the investigation and secured crime scenes on Cogswell and Rockland Streets as well.

Evidence collected at the scene will be processed by the Forensic Identification Unit.

No information on an arrest was shared.
