    State Police searching for robbery suspect in Columbia

    COLUMBIA, Conn. (WTNH) — Connecticut State Police are searching for a suspect from a gas station robbery in Columbia early Saturday morning.

    At 2:30 a.m., Troopers responded to calls of an armed robbery at the 7-11 gas station located at 52 Route 66 in Columbia. The suspect was armed with a silver revolver and he demanded money and cigarettes.

    The suspect fled the scene on foot after receiving the money and cigarettes and headed toward Route 66. State police believe the suspect may have entered a dark colored SUV.

    The suspect is described as male, between 5’6 and 5’10, thin, wearing a dark hoodie, gray pants, black shoes, black gloves and a black face mask.
