FARMINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) — The Hometown Foundation honored police for the service and sacrifices they make in the line of duty Sunday morning in Farmington with Back the Blue: a Ride for Remembrance.

This year was the third Ride for Remembrance organized by the Hometown Foundation. It’s become a yearly event and the largest car and motorcycle ride benefiting fallen officers in Connecticut.

“We have 200 motorcyclists going to be joining us soon,” said Meghan Sullivan from the Hometown Foundation. “They came from Old School Harley Davidson in Ellington, on a police-escorted ride, and then we had 100 cars travel from the CT Law Enforcement Memorial in Meriden.”

The Ride for Remembrance also featured a car show, touch-a-truck, food trucks and a ceremony of remembrance.
