Crash on Interstate 84 in Farmington under investigation

FARMINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) — Police are investigating a crash on I-84 in Farmington that happened just before midnight on Sunday.

According to police, at around 11:31 p.m., Troop H responded to I-84 Eastbound in the area of Exit 39 in Farmington for a crash involving a car and a tractor-trailer.

Police said the crash caused the tractor-trailer to roll on its side.

The Department of Energy and Environmental Protection responded to the scene for a fuel leak and Consumer Protection responded to the scene for produce damage.

People were taken to an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. It is not clear how many people were involved.

The roadway was reduced to one lane during the investigation, and the highway reopened at around 4:35 a.m.
