    Thousands in jewelry stolen from Trumbull Mall

    TRUMBULL, Conn. (WTNH) — Three masked suspects used a hammer to smash a glass display case and then steal thousands of dollars in jewelry from the Trumbull Mall.

    The theft happened at about 3 p.m. Sunday at Saba Jewelers, according to police. The three masked people then ran away and took off in a dark, four-door SUV. The vehicle left via the Main Street exit.

    Police are still working to find out the exact cost of the stolen items.
