Local high school wrestlers honored for winning Ohio State Championship

BELMONT COUNTY, Ohio (WTRF) — Two area high school athletes were honored on Wednesday for their outstanding accomplishments.

Ohio State Champion wrestlers Reese Stephen and teammate Skylar King of Barnesville were recognized at Wednesday morning’s Belmont County Commission meeting.

A proclamation was read by Commission President Jerry Echemann for each wrestler recognizing their accomplishments for the season.

Stephen was a two-time state champion at the 150 pound weight class while King was champion at the 158 pound class.
