The Rose Garden restaurant prepares for their grand opening

WHEELING, W.Va. (WTRF) — The Rose Garden, a comfort food focused restaurant, gets ready to open their doors this weekend.

What was formerly McGovern’s bar has now transformed into a new local hot spot under the ownership of Adam Rose.

Rose says that over the course of six months a lot of renovation and promotion on social media has taken place in preparation for the grand opening.

“It’s so nice to see all of the changes and improvements that have been made to this facility and I think it’s going to be an exciting option not just to eat in but for takeout and just to have a drink here or there.”

“The neighboring communities have been fantastic to meet thus far so I welcome all of them to come out here and continue trying out our food and drinks, and I hope to see everyone out here playing some bocci ball and corn hole this summer.”

The grand opening of The Rose Garden will take place at 11 a.m. on Sunday May 5.

The restaurant’s current hours are from 11 a.m. to midnight with the kitchen closing at 7 p.m.
