Flash Flood Warning for Monroe and Wetzel Counties

WHEELING, W.Va. (WTRF) – The National Weather Service out of Pittsburgh has issued a Flash Flood Warning for Wetzel county in West Virginia and Monroe County in Ohio until 4:45 AM Thursday.

Very heavy rain from slow moving storms continues to fall across Wetzel and Monroe Counties. 1.5-2 inches of rain has already fallen with these storms.

Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas is possible.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include: New Martinsville, Sardis, Fly, Hannibal and Proctor.
