Local rec center hosts successful community indoor garage sale

BELMONT COUNTY, Ohio (WTRF) — One of the sure signs of summer is a garage sale.

Friday’s rain had no effect on the enthusiasm of buyers or sellers at the St. Clairsville Rec Center’s community indoor garage sale.

Whether you wanted a food processor or a foot massager, a designer handbag, or a vintage Barbie motor home, they had it.

There’s clothes, there’s dog toys, I believe someone’s raffling off a boat here. So it kind of checks all the boxes, I guess. We try to do this event once or twice a year to try to bring some people out that maybe have not been to the place before.”

If you didn’t make it there today, that’s not a problem.

The community indoor garage sale continues tomorrow from 8 a.m. to noon, with the same vendors plus some new ones.

This is the third time they’ve held the event.

They say it brings people to the rec center, and it offers the chance for sellers to clean out their closets and buyers to snag some great bargains.
