    West Virginia residents may be eligible for disaster assistance loans

    WEST VIRGINIA — With the recent Presidential declaration of a major disaster for West Virginia due to severe storms, flooding, tornadoes and mudslides, business owners, homeowners and renters are now potentially eligible for a disaster assistance loan through the U.S. Small Business Administration.

    According to the SBA, potential borrowers are eligible for assistance for the severe weather that occurred April 2-4.

    The Physical Loan Application is July 22, 2024, and the Economic Injury Loan Application Deadline (EIDL) is February 24, 2025.

    The counties in West Virginia that are eligible to apply for Physical Damage and Economic Injury Loans are:

    • Boone
    • Cabell
    • Fayette
    • Kanawha
    • Lincoln
    • Marshall
    • Nicholas
    • Ohio
    • Putnam
    • Wayne
    • Wetzel

    The West Virginia counties eligible for Economic Injury Loans include:

    • Braxton
    • Brooke
    • Clay
    • Dodridge
    • Greenbrier
    • Harrison
    • Jackson
    • Logan
    • Marion
    • Mason
    • Mingo
    • Monongalia
    • Raleigh
    • Roane
    • Summers
    • Tyler
    • Webster
    • Wyoming

    The following counties in Ohio are eligible to apply for Economic Injury Loans:

    • Jefferson
    • Belmont
    • Lawrence
    • Monroe
    • Gallia
