Athletes from across the Ohio Valley prepare to see if they are “Tough as Nails”

WHEELING, W.Va. (WTRF) — Athletes from across the Ohio Valley are preparing to test their skills in the Ogden Wellness Weekend’s Tough as Nails Urban Challenge.

Organizers say the course is a true all-around physical and mental test for 16-year-old or older runners, walkers, weightlifters, fitness enthusiasts, and anyone in between.

Participants will endure more than six miles and 20+ obstacles of “body-breaking” urban terrain, traversing abandoned cars, scaling flood walls, climbing over obstacles, and clawing their way up impossible inclines throughout downtown Wheeling.

After completing the grueling course, participants will have the opportunity to celebrate with family and friends, which includes food, drinks, and live music.
