OHIO — This Memorial Day, we honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation.

President Biden continued the tradition of visiting Arlington National Cemetery to lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

Memorial Day may mark the unofficial start of summer, with the warmer weather summoning big crowds for beach parties and barbecues.

But military advocates say the true meaning of the holiday shouldn’t be lost over the course of the long weekend.

I’ve been a member of the Veteran’s Committee for my whole career. It’s my chance to pay back those veterans in Ohio that have died for their country or suffered long physical or mental injuries. I think we owe them a debt of gratitude, not just on Memorial Day but throughout the year.”

Sherrod Brown, United States Senator ( D-OH)

Senator Brown says to keep in mind the families of fallen soldiers as well.
