MARSHALL COUNTY, W.Va. (WTRF) — One local business was out in Marshall County today, thanking first responders in the Ohio Valley by offering them a fun-filled day with their families.

Williams Companies hosted their 2nd annual First Responders Appreciation Day at Grand Vue Park in Moundsville.

Williams Companies is an American Energy Company that partners with local first responders for different events throughout the year.

On Saturday, any first responders from Brooke County to Tyler County were invited to enjoy an all-day pool pass and free access to the mini golf course for themselves and their immediate family.

One of the event organizers says being able to give back to the men and women who keep our communities safe is very important.

It means a lot to us, you know, through this partnership to just be able to have that one day, extra thank you, you know, for them and their family members and just do something special for them because there’s all these things that they do for us every day, you know, and this was our opportunity to thank them.”

The Williams Companies is also sponsoring the fireworks show in Moundsville tonight in honor of the first responders in the Ohio Valley.
