WHEELING, W.Va. (WTRF) — On Sunday, hundreds of people were still out singing, dancing, and soaking up the sun at Heritage Port.

The third and final day of the 23rd Annual Heritage Music BluesFest was another successful day filled with performances from several talented musicians.

The festival’s producer, Bruce Wheeler, says the event draws music fans from 22 different states.

He says he had no idea that it would go on for this many years and draw hundreds of thousands of people when it first started.

People maybe didn’t come for a while, and then they would get here and go, Oh my goodness, I didn’t realize it was so great. You know, one, the atmosphere, the music. Most people, when they hear blues, don’t know anything about blues music, but they do. If they listen to rock and roll, if they listen to any kind of it has its roots in the blues.”

As the festival nears the end, there are still some big performances you won’t want to miss, including Bywater Call from Canada, who will perform at 7 p.m., and rounding out the night will be Mr. Sipp, who is set to take the stage at 8:45 p.m.
