    153rd annual Jefferson County Fair kicks off in Smithfield

    Smithfield, OHIO (WTRF) – The 153rd Jefferson County Fair officially kicked off Monday at Friendship Park in Smithfield, Ohio.

    Monday marked the opening ceremonies, beginning a week full of entertainment, rides, animal shows, contests, great food and much, much more.

    Children up to the age of 2 and seniors over 70 get in for free, but there is plenty of fun to be had for all ages.

    The good times will wrap up on Sunday, so make your way out to see all the action.
