OHIO & HANCOCK COUNTY (WTRF) – You still have time to apply for FEMA assistance if you’ve been impacted by the severe storms that struck the Ohio Valley back on April 11th and 12th.

To see if you are eligible, you can stop by one of two disaster recovery centers in Ohio or Hancock County.

They are open Monday through Saturday from 8am to 6pm.

You can also call 1-800-621-3362, visit disasterassistance.gov , or even just download the FEMA app to get in touch.

FEMA Media Relations Specialist Trey Paul says they’d love to help out no matter what type of damage was sustained in the storms.

“Flooding has been a really big problem for a lot of the folks here in West Virginia in the month of April. So, if you had to replace something or repair it and you purchased something to assist with that, you can show that to FEMA, the receipt. Just please, please, we just want to let folks know that we’re here. If you received any type of damage whatsoever, you have a question about it, just stop in, ask a question. We’ll get you in and out, too, with the application process as well. You know, it’s a quick process to find out if you’re eligible for possible reimbursement. So just come in and talk to us.”
