Ohio Valley Mall celebrates teachers by giving out free classroom supplies

OHIO COUNTY, W.Va. (WTRF) – As the school season is about to pick back up, Ohio Valley Mall is celebrating local teachers with a special event called Tools for Teachers.

Registered teachers received totes, school supplies to stock the classroom, “Teach the Teacher” educational seminars, appetizers and much more.

Best of all? The event was completely free!

Marketing Director of Ohio Valley Mall, Candi Noble-Greathouse, says that they’re thrilled to have the opportunity to spoil teachers and give them a proper celebration to kick off the school year.

“This is our second year of a large teacher appreciation event and it is sponsored by Belmont Savings Bank, and we are just thrilled to have our community organizations here. We have a room full of prizes, of 25+ prizes here, and we have some great food from our tenants. At 7:30, after we draw the prizes, we’re going to open up the community room where they are going to get a room full of school supplies.”

Alongside being sponsored by Belmont Savings Bank, additional help was provided by Boscov’s and the Belmont County Salvation Army.
