Cabela’s hosting Youth Day this Saturday to kick off Fall hunting season

TRIADELPHIA, W.Va. — Fall hunting is fast approaching, and to kick off the season, Cabela’s is hosting free family events.

The sports shop is hosting a Youth Day from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 17.

During this event, kids will receive a free Kids’ Duck Decoy (while supplies last), a free photo download, and an Inflatable Archery Range to try their hand at the sport with target practice.

Store officials say youth workshops educate participants about wildlife in the U.S. and encourage them to spend time in nature.

Between now and Aug. 28, outdoor enthusiasts can trade in their old gear, including Bows and Crossbows, Game Cameras, Optics, and Hunting Boots, and earn savings on new gear.

Store officials say gift cards will also be offered for firearms trade-ins, and all trade-ins of old gear will earn 100 bonus entries into a drawing for the Hunting Trip of a Lifetime—a waterfowl hunt at Habitat Flats with Tony Vandemore, a whitetail hunt with Wade Middleton, or a Utah elk hunt with Mark Peterson.

Throughout Fall Hunting Classic, store officials say local pros and Outfitters will lead educational Q&A sessions to help hunters make the most of their time outside in the fall and winter ahead.

Topics of discussion will range from selecting gear for the hunt to executing new techniques in the deer stand and beyond.
