7News Analyst predicts energetic, unified Democratic National Convention following nomination of Kamala Harris and Tim Walz

The Democratic National Convention kicks off Monday in Chicago and will run through Thursday.

Kamala Harris and her running mate Tim Walz have already been nominated to the ballot by virtual roll call vote.

Our 7News political analyst predicts this will be a vibrant and positive convention, much different from what would have happened if President Biden had remained on the ballot.

I think it’s a tale of two conventions, meaning the convention that would have been, had President Biden not withdrawn from the race vs the convention that will be. I think the atmosphere at the Democratic National Convention is likely to be very energetic and energized. They will be very unified moving forward and optimistic.”

Kevin Spiker says if President Biden had stayed on the ticket, the Democratic convention would have been divisive and controversial.

This way, he predicts the DNC will be all-for-one and fired up with enthusiasm, much as the Republican convention was shortly after the assassination attempt on Donald Trump.
