Mountaineer Brewfest fills a mug for its 10th year

WHEELING, W.Va. (WTRF) — Have you ever tried a mug of Stumptown Ales?
What about Screech Owl, or Weathered Ground?

Those were just a few of the brewing companies on tap tonight at the Mountaineer Brewfest, all in view of the summer sun over the Ohio River.

The 10th year of the craft and micro beer festival featured names from around West Virginia, alongside local food trucks like the Wood Fired Pizza Company and the concert headliner Steal the Sky.

It wasn’t just about trying a barrel of the local brew.

The proceeds this year will bring the total money raised to date for local charities to well over $200,000.
