BELMONT COUNTY, Ohio (WTRF) — Many employees at a Belmont County, Ohio hospital have been voicing their frustrations at not being paid on Friday. 7News has received many phone calls and messages with people who wanted answers.

Facebook and other social media platforms were conduits for employee complaints who allege East Ohio Regional Hospital has failed to pay their employees on time for multiple pay cycles.

Administrator and Chief Operating Officer at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Bernie Albertini, responded to employees, stating, “Dear Team, I am writing to inform you of an update regarding this week’s payroll distribution. We encountered an issue with Unified Bank and it resulted in a delay in processing our wire transfer to the payroll company Paylocity. Unified Bank has acknowledged their error and will cover any late fees associated with this situation. As a result, some employees received their paychecks on Friday, others on Saturday, and the remained will be processed on Monday morning. This timing is dependent on the processing capabilities of individual banks for late wires. Please be assured that the payroll was submitted by EORH as usual and in a timely manner and will be addressing the issue with the leadership of Unified Bank on Monday morning. We apologize for any inconvenience this delay may have caused and appreciate your understanding and patience. Should you have any questions or need further assistance, please contact the Human Resources Department at 740-633-4343. Please understand that we understand the gravity of this situation and are not taking this lightly. Please submit any fees incurred to be reimbursed by Unified and to Rick Oliver in HR and we will get them to you asap. Thank you for your attention to this matter and for your continued commitment to our team.”

We will be following this story closely, so stick with 7News for future updates.

should have known that when that Arab guy bought it and turned it into a private facility that some shady crap was bound to happen sooner or later. I dislike that hospital now.
