Barnesville, OH (WTRF) A Belmont County pharmacy that was raided by police yesterday is back open today.

An open sign was on the door, and customers could be seen entering and exiting the Corner Pharmacy in Barnesville.

On August 27, the US Drug Enforcement Administration executed a search warrant at the pharmacy.

The search warrant was executed in conjunction with the Ohio Pharmacy Board, the DEA, the Ohio Attorney General’s Office, and the Barnesville Police Department.

According to Martin Redd, Diversion Program Manager for the DEA’s Detroit Field Division, the owner of the pharmacy, Charles “Chip” Terrett, voluntarily surrendered his DEA Registration number, which means controlled substances cannot be sold.

A controlled substance is generally a drug or chemical whose manufacture, possession, or use is regulated by a government, such as illicitly used drugs or prescription medications that are designated by law.
