Wheeling Vintage Raceboat Regatta underway

WHEELING, W.Va. (WTRF) — The 17th Wheeling Vintage Raceboat Regatta kicked off Friday with boats arriving at Heritage Port for the annual event.

Organizers say admission is free and the event will run through Sept. 1.

The regatta features all kinds of vintage race boats coming from several states including Wisconsin, New Hampshire, Vermont, Florida and North Carolina.

They say proceeds benefit the Easterseals Rehabilitation Center in Wheeling.
