Dr. Dianna Vargo announced as Wheeling University’s new president

WHEELING, W.Va. (WTRF) — Big news today from Wheeling University, Dr. Dianna Vargo has been named the new president.

Bishop Mark Brennan made the announcement during the university’s Mass of the Holy Spirit.

Dr. Vargo has been serving as the university’s chief operations officer since February 20 ^th .

Bishop Brennan says Dr. Vargo is someone who gets things done, she has always committed herself to the growth of students and success of the school.

“She brings an awful lot of talent, goodwill and enthusiasm to this position. I think that will make people – students here say yeah, we’ve got a real leader in charge here.”
