An Ohio Sheriff’s Department is saying there is no validity to the threats made at a school in their county.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office said they received several phone calls from concerned parents from Beallsville Elementary/High School regarding threats.

7News also received calls saying students found a note with names on a list at the school.

The School Resource Officer along with the Investigation Unit has investigated all threats to the school and after the investigation into the threats, there is no validity to them, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

The Sheriff’s Office says there will be a School Resource Officer posted at the school, like every day, and will provide security and investigate any complaints that come forward.

The Sheriff’s Office also said there is no immediate threat to any campus in the Switzerland of Ohio School District and all threats that were brought up are false and only rumors.

Deputies say any person starting rumors that are investigated and found out to be false could be charged under Ohio Revised Code 2917.31 Inducing Panic.
