Squad Goals: Buckeye Local High School

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ohio (WTRF) — 7News is airing a new special every week, which is now honoring cheer teams across the Ohio Valley called Squad Goals.

Our very first squad to be featured is from Buckey Local High School.

My name is Karrie Glover. I am the cheerleading advisor for Buckeye Local High School.

I have 10 varsity cheerleaders and 5 seniors this year. We placed 2nd at the Jefferson County Fair this year.

Our first home game will be on Friday September 13 and this is our Alumni game.

Our goal this year is to attend a few more cheerleading competitions.

One of them being the OVAC Cheering Competition, and we plan to fundraise, to raise money for new uniforms.
