    Ohio man allegedly threatened people with a pistol, led police on foot pursuit

    Ohio police arrested a man after he allegedly threatened people with a pistol and led police on a foot pursuit.

    Bellaire, Ohio police say they arrested 25-year-old Dan Roeder on charges of escape, parole violation, having weapons while under disability, and aggravated menacing.

    Police say they responded to a call on Monroe Street where witnesses stated that Roeder was threatening several people with a pistol.

    Officers say they located Roeder and detained him for questioning.

    While investigating, police say Roeder was able to escape and led police on a foot pursuit. Police say they were able to later arrest Roeder and transport him to the Belmont County Jail.

    Police say they recovered a pistol, drugs, and drug paraphernalia from the residence.

    Bellaire Police say Roeder is a convicted felon and could be facing additional charges as the investigation continues.
