Local Bishop to be Installed as Bishop of the Eastern Cape of South Africa

WHEELING, W.Va (WTRF) — Friday, September 20th, Bishop Darrel Cummings will take part in an Installation Service, honoring his new title and responsibilities of Bishop of the Eastern Cape of South Africa.

During the service, Bishop Theodore Brooks Sr. Will preside over the ceremony as guest choirs, speakers, and parishioners from all over the globe join in the celebration.

Bishop Cummings says he is honored and blessed to be the first person in the Ohio Valley to serve in this role.

“Our presider of our organization, The Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, will come together with other bishops and there’s what they call the laying on of hands. It’s like a marriage, like a wedding, but it’s being married to the vision, being married to the goals of what a bishop should be.”

The service will take place at Wheeling University in the Troy Theater at 7:30pm. All are welcome to attend.
