Kittens in need of fur-ever homes at Fur Pet’s Sake adoption event

ST. CLAIRSVILLE, Ohio (WTRF) — If you’re looking for a new furry friend to be a part of your family, look no further than the Fur Pet’s Sake kitten adoption event.

Executive Director Angela Hatfield says adoption agencies have been experiencing a strain due to the sheer number of cats they’re taking care of.

Hatfield says cats of all ages are ready for their fur-ever home, and now, more than ever, it is time to adopt.

“There’s a financial burden associated with the amount of animals that we care for, we’ve seen about a 30% increase in their food and litter and that’s just their basic needs. In those situations, we’re trying to get them adopted before we bring them into the rescue just to help save them.”

Angela Hatfield, executive director, Belmont Humane Society

Hatfield says adopting a kitten will not only give them a loving home but will open up a space for another cat in need.
