Moundsville, W.Va. (WTRF) The Marshall County Family Support Center was presented with a 50,000-dollar check from Aetna Better Health West Virginia.

There are 56 Family Support Centers throughout the state, and each is receiving this donation.

This money is intended to provide direct services to families in need, and each center has the flexibility to determine how to best use these funds.

“We’re just very appreciative of Aetna with this truly generous and in life changing donation for many of the families that we’re going to be serving and it’s a wonderful opportunity for Marshall County. And so, we’re truly blessed.”

    Traci Kinney – FSC Director

“They are doing direct service to those in need. So, food pantries, hygiene closets, parenting classes, you name it, they’re fulfilling much needed service gaps in West Virginia. And so, we’re just a small part of help support the great work that they’re doing and help further those efforts.”

Taylor Daugherty – Aetna Community Development Coordinator

The work that the Family Support Center does is of utmost importance, as they provide programs and resources for those who are in need.

Some of the programs include food pantries, rent and utility assistance and clothing.

This check will allow the Marshall County Family Support Center to expand its current services and provide new ones.
