Flying Spoon wins final Show of Hands of 2024

WHEELING, W.Va. (WTRF) – Wheeling Heritage has provided over $140,000 to local businesses over the last ten years with their Show of Hands event.

It provides a platform for four small business owners to go head-to-head in presenting their unique ideas to the community and vie for their votes for a cash prize.

Tonight’s presenters were Savvy Sellebrations, Midge’s Kitchen, Flying Spoon, and Wheeling Noods Ramen Bar.

Wheeling Heritage hosts Show of Hands three times a year.

In honor of this being the final event in the 10-year celebration, ten lucky guests also received $10 gift cards to businesses of former Show of Hands winners!

The big winner of the night, taking home over $5,000 was The Flying Spoon – a combined restaurant and yoga studio with affordable prices under $20.

Owners Kim and Donn say they will be using the prize money for better juicers and blenders, as well as renovations to their studio space.
