    Wheeling, W.Va. (WTRF) –

A local non-profit just got their first local sponsorship for their mission to support young people in the area.

The newly formed non-profit is called “Why Don’t You Stay A While,” or “WDYSA,” and they have been sponsored by Waterfront Hall to support their goal of retaining young people and young professionals in the Ohio Valley.

WDYSA hopes to create a “dynamic, diverse and fun community that grows the hearts and minds of young people.”

Dan Milleson of Waterfront Hall says, “We believe that in supporting this non-profit, we are reinforcing this idea: There is tremendous meaning and joy in rebuilding where you’re from.”

WDYSA wants to continue to partner with organizations from both sides of the Ohio River. They’re holding another event on October 23rd.
