Wheeling, W.Va. (WTRF) – Music is a universal language that transcends cultural barriers, and with Violins of Hope, that idea has never been more true.

They’re a national organization that exhibits dozens of violins and other stringed instruments that survived the Holocaust, and have since been restored.

In fact, many of the instruments were played by victims of the Holocaust and donated by families who encouraged their restoration.

The organization made their way to the Ohio Valley to tell the untold stories of the Holocaust–victims and survivors alike.

Violins of Hope will be at West Liberty University tomorrow morning at 10:00am, and the Ohio County Public Library later that evening at 6:30pm.
