WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, WV ( WVNS ) — The Greenbrier Hotel is once again up for auction due to default, according to a Notice of Trustee’s Sale posted by West Virginia Daily News in Lewisburg.

According to the Notice, there was a default under the terms agreed upon under the Deed of Trust. It did not state any details regarding the reported default. The scheduled date for the auction of The Greenbrier is October 25, 2024, at 2 P.M.

The auction is slated to take place at the front door of the Greenbrier County Courthouse. The highest bidder will need to have the cash in hand, as requested by the terms of the sale.

This is not the first time The Greenbrier has been up for auction in 2024, as the Greenbrier Hotel was once scheduled to go to auction on August 27, 2024, but was then avoided by a deal that was made by the Justice Companies .

News has reached out to representatives of The Greenbrier and are awaiting further comments.
