Weirton Police Officer Joshua Reinard Promoted to Sergeant

WEIRTON, W.Va. (WTRF) — Weirton Police Officer Joshua Reinard was promoted to the rank of Sergeant today.

Mayor Harold Miller and other Weirton officers held a ceremony for Reinard, congratulating him on his new title.

Reinard says he has always aspired to move up through the ranks and take on new responsibilities and challenges.

“I’m pretty excited, I’ve been trying to put myself in the mind set of taking more responsibility and being more in a leadership role for a while now. So to actually have the official position feels pretty good.”

Reinard says he is thankful for his fellow officers and supervisors who have taught him so much and helped him prepare for this role.
