Nailers excited for new home game broadcasts on MYOV

WHEELING, W.Va. (WTRF) — The Wheeling Nailers hockey season is upon us and this year fans across the region will be able to watch Nailers’ home games right from their living room.

Watching Wheeling Nailers hockey will be easier than ever this season since a majority of the team’s home games will be broadcast live on WTRF’s My Ohio Valley.

The Nailers play-by-play announcer D.J. Abisalih says the broadcasts will include new segments designed for fans watching at home, along with multiple camera angles, replays, and custom graphics.

He says something they strive for every year is to provide more opportunities for fans to get involved with the action.

Abisalih will put on the headset for his 14th season as the voice of the Nailers. He says he’s excited that fans won’t have to miss any of the action at WesBanco Arena this season.

”Now with all of the options on recording through your television devices. Okay, you can record the game, you can go back and watch it later or you can watch it live, catch different pieces of it. So it really makes it a good scenario so that people who maybe their season ticket holders, maybe they’re occasional goers and they can’t make it to a certain game, but they still are able to catch the game that they were wanting to go to.”

At least 34 of the 36 Nailers home games will be broadcast live on WTRF’s My Ohio Valley.

The Nailers will begin their season with 5 road games before their home opener at Wesbanco Arena on November 2nd when they’ll face the Bloomington Bison at 7:10pm.
