Moundsville, W.Va. (WTRF) – Talent and progress were on full display in Moundsville.

Marshall County Schools held their annual Local School Improvement Council Showcase.

Membership of the LSIC includes teachers, service personnel, bus drivers, parents, business and community representatives. The group is directly involved with the operation of local schools in many ways.

All 14 schools within the Marshall County system were on hand, to show the public some of the great things each has been up to.

“So we have some musical performances, some CTE going on at some of the middle and high schools, we have some robotics…we just had a literature fair, so a lot of the winners from that are here tonight to show everyone their presentations as well.”

Karen Klamut – Assistant Superintendent of Marshall County Schools

The showcase was held in the Moundsville Center at the former West Virginia Penitentiary, and was free and open to the public.
